Winter at Mission Ridge

Here are some of the shots I have compiled so far from the 2007/08 season at Mission Ridge. Making shots in the snow environment has taken a bit getting used to, to say the least. There are so many variables to take into account, time and inclement weather being the biggest ones. Thankfully, I have had the pleasure to be riding with some very patient snowboarders...

Clicking on a photo will bring it up in a bigger size.

This selection of night shots was taken during one of the Ridge's Rail Jams. Nearly all the participants were high school age or younger. I think they enjoyed having me out there taking photos.

The line up.

Thanks to my new Nikon Speedlight I was able to get full use out of my motor drive - 5 shots per second.

I got this kid to do an ollie over the sign. Revolution is our local snowboard shop. I gotta hook them with a copy of this shot.

I don't even know how I got this shot. I really had to beef it up in Photoshop to get the lights to come out.

Looking up into the microwave tower...

Taking a break on the hike out Windy Ridge.

Tommy Koski here, blowing a pillow to pieces.

Jaime Landers dropping the cornice into Bathtub.

This was one of my first good shots of the season. Tommy Koski in the terrain park.

Ryan Bullock drops into Ka-Wham chutes.

Tommy with an early season powder carve.

Eric P. gets deep.

Bryce in the terrain park. Another shot that I messed around with in Photoshop.

It's all about finding pockets of powder on a bombed out day. Tommy Koski here with a classic butter.
More to come soon...
