St. Patrick's Day and Powder

Hey Gang! These shots were taken on one of my last days up on the mountain. I went solo for two days in a row, no friends on a powder day - there was at least 30 cm of fresh.

One of the little shelters strewn over the mountainside. Vitosha is also very popular with hikers.

Looking west from a rocky pass above the lift that takes you to the top of the mountain.

Another example of how Bulgarians tend to stay on the runs. By hiking up to this pass I was awarded run after run through this rock garden which terminated above a 200m open slope of untracked perfection.

This is probably the highest point on Vitosha. Kinda flat huh. Reminded me of Mission in how it is festooned with radio towers.

The topmost lift, a pain in the ass if your a snowboarder.

Heading down, with a view out the gondola window.

This is Jenn and Derek. Their house threw the annual St. Patrick's day bash. It proved to be quite the rager.

Dave and Djorf re-filling our weapon of choice.

Scott "Shamari" Jarrett. Our resident campus wildman.

Absinthe is green too.

Kathryn and Dusty giving out stickers and kisses.

"More Beer!" yelled the crazy IRA guy with huge chops.

Mmmm...

Stoyan and Greg jamming by the bonfire.

Random sighting of a Bulgarian leprechaun.

"I don't know Aaron, it sounds complicated..." said Ebru regarding her introduction to bonging beer.

I don't know, I guess Lara looks happy...

The President, Lou Perske, and Stoyan running on empty.

Pete, YT, and Derek. Shot taken early in the evening, when we could still stand up.
